Optimization of heat transfer performance of a micro‐bare‐tube heat exchanger using a genetic algorithm

This study presents the optimization of heat transfer coefficient a micro bare tube exchanger. A physical and mathematical model exchanger was built in Matlab using simplified ε-number unit method. Using temperature minus 30°C 0.5–1.0 mm outer diameter, 1.7–8.0 longitudinal pitch, 1.7–5 transverse 1.0–5.0 m/s velocity at minimum free flow area, with carbon dioxide as refrigerant, comparative variation analysis performed to optimize micro-bare-tube The results demonstrate that increases inlet air is increased from 1.0 5.0 m/s, final gain 93.17%. growth rate steadily decreases increasing gradually approaches zero. effect gradual decrease diameter 0.5 on 22.52% greater than pitch 2.2 1.7 mm. also carried out an distribution four different variables With use genetic algorithm, found optimal maximize coefficient. following parameter values resulted maximum coefficient: mm, pitch.
